We asked some BD athletes their goals going into 2026.
"My main goal for next year. Finally say goodbye to my back injury for good and make sure it never comes back. First step: work on my flexibility — because right now I move with the elegance of a piece of wood. I want to feel stronger, looser, and more confident in my body. Biggest lesson I’ve learned: rest days are real, chilling is part of training, and flexibility is something I need to work for. Next year, I want to keep making progress, celebrate the small wins and getting back to climbing full gas because I missed it too much!"
"To have a safe ski season, doing as many fun things as we can, with the goal of being as happy as possible. And a safe trip to Alaska, to ski new lines hopefully with the best snow possible."
"In 2026, I am swapping race bibs for some mountain goals that both excite and scare me, and will require that my body be really robust to stand up to a beating. For the first time, I am putting a much bigger emphasis on strength training – something that puts me out of my comfort zone but will hopefully pay off in the mountains!"
