THE MAKING OF THE MISSION DUFFEL

Alpine Style (n., adj.): An ethos of doing something in the simplest, cleanest, and best way possible. Committed to the objective and knowing every decision matters. Going fast-and-light.

This is the ethos our designers brought to creating the Mission Duffel. The goal was to make an ultralight expedition duffel, and through innovative engineering and intentional fabric selection, the designers not only made one of the lightest duffels available, the process of making the duffel is also simple and sustainable. The production process mimics the intended outcome.

  • The Mission Duffel is constructed from a single piece of BD PET 900D polyester fabric, with less than 1% of the body fabric being thrown away.

  • By folding the duffel fabric and employing innovative sewing techniques, it takes 66% fewer steps to build than our traditional expedition duffels and weighs only 2.5 lbs

  • By using a single recycled polymer material and adding minimal features, after years of use and abuse, the Mission Duffel can be widely recycled without deconstructing (except for removing the metal buckles and zipper feet).
