Technology & Sustainability

Bloom

BLOOM removes over-abundant algae from aquatic ecosystems and turns it into a renewable material that replaces fossil fuel-based ingredients. This transformative process simultaneously helps to clean and re-oxygenate water systems while preventing carbon emissions associated with decomposition.

Flicklock +

Featuring a soft-touch design for ultimate on-trail comfort, FlickLock+ Technology offers quick and easy adjustments in varying terrain while on the move.

Z-Pole Rapid Deployment

Speed Cone technology comes from our expertise in avalanche probe design—a key component of Z-Poles’ stiffness and fast deployment.

Amazing for travel and long hikes

"Finished a 6 day circuit of havisupai falls, antelope canyon, bryce canyon, and Angel's Landing in Zion. The poles held up fantastic and have so much more life ahead of them. Great to fold down and store in a backpacking pack for flights and cross country travel!"

Backpacking perfection

"These were so comfortable and versatile to use while backpacking in the Grand Canyon. Elevation was a critical component when hiking both down and up and these were so light, yet supportive. The cork didn’t rub my hands raw without gloves and they were easy to put away if I didn’t feel like using them. I would definitely recommend them."

"Killer poles"

Fantastic pole

"These are really solid poles and compact. Use them for SAR."

Terrible Pole - BD won't stand by product

"These are absolutely the worst hiking poles I have ever purchased and the worst Black Diamond product I have owned (and I have owned many). I purchased the poles for a trip to South America and more than half the time they came apart at the folding joints when I placed them in muddy soft ground. Moreover, in certain weather, it was impossible to fold them because the metal swelled. I called Paragon Sports where I bought the pulls for full price last month and they said to call Black Diamond. I called Black Diamond and they said if I didn't buy the poles from their site, they wouldn't stand by the product. 200. 00 plus dollars in the garbage. Hard to swallow."

Do the job

"These are great poles, can withstand a lot of force without bending. My only complaint is that the bottom pole is not able to be locked in/secured properly so when hiking, if I lift the pole up and it catches something, the bottom 1/3rd section will come out"

Great product! Someone told men

"Great product! Someone told men to me the Med/Large was for people 6’ and up. I’m right at that threshold and they were bag-on. If I was any shorter these would be tool big…"

Trekking poles

"I bought these poles for a trip to Europe. I am traveling via air and needed them to be a rather small foot print. Not sure how well they will work but a have confidence in the product."
