Voici, la tige RigidFlex en instance de brevet. Grâce à ses câbles de maintien flottants indépendamment, le Camalot Z4 ne fléchit pas lorsqu'il est sous tension ou rétracté, mais une fois en place, il permet à la tige de bouger et d'obtenir un amarrage qui reste en place et ne bouge pas lorsqu'il est tiré dans une certaine direction. Pour les plus grandes tailles, la tige possède également une structure de câbles torsadés double qui fournit une flexibilité uniforme dans toutes les directions, tandis que pour les plus petites tailles, un seul câble est utilisé pour éviter sa déformation en tirant fort sur le déclencheur et pour réduire le volume du déclencheur. Avec une tête de même largeur que notre ancien modèle, le Camalot C3, mais avec 4 cames sablées pour une meilleure puissance de maintien, le Camalot Z4 n'est pas uniquement une version améliorée. Il est également disponible dans de plus petites tailles, allant de la taille #0, notre plus petit Camalot jamais réalisé, jusqu'à la taille 0,75 permettant d'ajuster le matériel, que vous recherchiez des fissures au sommet ou que vous progressiez avec légèreté et rapidité dans les Alpes.

Great addition to my rack.

"Great addition to my rack. Pair nicely with my totems and love their adaptability. Particularly impressed with the smaller sizes. Narrow heads, but still burly enough to take a beating. Have heard some people say they wouldn't get the larger sizes (purple/green), but I like that they take up so little space on my harness and in my pack, but cover this range in a smaller form factor. Having recently had to bail on some of these after getting caught out in the Black Canyon, I'll definitely be replacing them asap."

Almost the best cam ever made.

"Before this review reads as a negative review, I want to be clear that the Z4s are the best cam ever made. . . But they are in dire need of one tweak that would make them truly the best they could be. I have developed a true love/hate relationship with the Z4s. It's kind of like marrying the love of your life, except every few years they try and file for divorce from you. . The Z4s are hands down the best placing cam on the market. They fit in places that no other cam fit, they're light, and they have incredible holding power. Once you've really climbed on them for a long time, it's truly impossible to replace with any other style cam (that includes totems). Unfortunately, the trigger wires are the least durable components I've ever witnessed on any cam ever made. If you thought the ultralights were bad, these take on a new meaning of fragility. I've had them break on me mid route and I really haven't experienced the lack of durability that they show on any other cam ever made including all of the BD line up. As much as I like the Z4 as an upgrade from the X4, I'd rather have the X4 simply for the fact that I can use them for a decade and they don't die. My Z4s last about 2 years before the wires begin to fray. Pros: - Best placing cam on the market - Double axle while still being incredibly narrow - Fits places no other cam will - Super lightweight - Very sleek and sexy looking Cons: Black Diamond. Please fix the trigger wires. . Adding the heat shrink that is currently on the ultralights could be a decent solution. But seriously BD team. . I'm begging you"

"When the Z4's first came out I was skeptical about this new design, but it really does work as advertised. Narrow head fit into places the C4's don't work. The stiff stem with the trigger pulled for ease of placement and floppy when in the rock for being less likely to shift is brilliant engineering!
