MERCREDI, 15 MAI 2024

Le 17 juin 2023, BD Athlete Hillary Gerardi a revendiqué le très convoité record féminin du « fastest known time » sur le Mont Blanc. Un projet des plus ambitieux, le FKT historique de Hillary a été documenté par Davina et Seb Montaz-Rosset, et a donné lieu au magnifique film « Always Alive ». Réalisé par Davina, avec une cinématographie incroyable directement depuis la montagne par Seb, ce documentaire ne capture pas seulement l’ascension et la descente de Hillary, mais explore aussi en profondeur les complexités entourant ce projet, notamment le changement climatique.

“Climate change is changing seasonality in the mountains and making it harder and harder to predict when there may be good conditions and weather window,” explained Hillary in an interview with Runner’s World. 

Using the much sought-after FKT to elevate the topic of climate change—both in the Alps and globally—Hillary, Davina, and Seb have created a powerful film that captures the soul of the mountains—a beauty that is fleeting.

“Always Alive” is currently premiering in film festivals around the world. Below is a list of festival showings that we’ll be continually updating so you can see the film on the big screen.
