Niche but brilliant

"This is one of those pieces that's got a pretty limited use case -- technical climbing at high altitude -- but is absolutely brilliant in its element. It's not as warm as the super-classic Guide glove; probably too chunky for ice cragging; and not exactly what I'd want in a ski glove either. But for handling ropes and pro on a big, cold, steep mountain it is what you want. It just works, and the removable liner gives great flexibility and drying over a long trip. This is actually my second pair. The first one I gave to a Peruvian aspiring guide who needed some decent gear. A few days later he was putting a new route at TD+ on a 6,200m peak with them. Perfect."

Warm fingers

"My fingers get cold very easy, and so far these have helped to keep them a bit warmer. Fit is good, although a bit bulky for the grip on my ice tools, but I adjusted the way I grip a tad and it worked. So far, so good."

Gregg L. (5/5)

Good fit and warmth

"Haven't had many chances to try them ice climbing. But the few times I did get out, I was very happy with them."

Super warm while still having dexterity

"I needed a warm glove for belays, winter camping etc and the guide glove reviews were concerning that although they had the warmth the dexterity lacked. Grabbed a pair of the soloist and they seem to be the perfect balance of warmth, Comfort and while still having tactile feel. Great glove."

Jason W. (5/5)

More nimble than expected

"Pleasantly surprised at how I was able to keep the gloves on and work on basic mountaineering skills. I would like a hand warmer pocket, though."

Rachel F. (4/5)

"Very insulated, can still move hand with ease. Great gloves"

Kylie Z. (5/5)

Bomber

"Tried all sorts of gloves. theses things are unmatched. The removable liner option making them incredibly versatile for climbing in wet environments."

Ezra M. (5/5)

Solid gloves

"Love BG gloves. The Soloists are a nice glove that feels warmer than Patrol gloves, but not as warm as guides."

Cory S. (5/5)

Perfect!

"These gloves are warm! -22C 50km winds, my hands were overheating, best problem possible."

Ben S. (5/5)

An awesome glove option!

"Bought two because of how versatile these gloves are. Use em for alpine trips and skiing! Super warm but really flexible for use with an ascender."
