Limited Length Variability Limits Poles Severely

"Totally disappointed in this purchase. I hike a lot and have a decent understanding of how to use variable poles. I'm 6'00"" and the M/L poles were terrible for Grand Canyon hike due to limited adjustment length. These are suitable for hiking on flat land and uphill, but not downhill. Had switched from Leki to BD and do not recommend."

Light and compact , cork grips real comfy

"Can easily fit in my hydration vest , really easy to adjust . Happy with the purchase overall, would be rad if the handles could tilt a bit for a bit more of an ergonomic grip for when running downhill, but that’s beside the point. Cork grips are pretty comfy"

Amazing for travel and long hikes

"Finished a 6 day circuit of havisupai falls, antelope canyon, bryce canyon, and Angel's Landing in Zion. The poles held up fantastic and have so much more life ahead of them. Great to fold down and store in a backpacking pack for flights and cross country travel!"

Dylon H. (5/5)

Excellent. Instructions could be updated.

"They work perfectly. Quick Guide should include how to switch out tips."

Mark (5/5)

Great poles!

"Perfect fit in my BD backpack."

Giorgio F. (5/5)

Backpacking perfection

"These were so comfortable and versatile to use while backpacking in the Grand Canyon. Elevation was a critical component when hiking both down and up and these were so light, yet supportive. The cork didn’t rub my hands raw without gloves and they were easy to put away if I didn’t feel like using them. I would definitely recommend them."

Poles goals

"Super light and easily adjustable. Reinforced connections that hold up way better than normal elastic strings."

"Killer poles"

Chris (5/5)

Fantastic pole

"These are really solid poles and compact. Use them for SAR."

Terrible Pole - BD won't stand by product

"These are absolutely the worst hiking poles I have ever purchased and the worst Black Diamond product I have owned (and I have owned many). I purchased the poles for a trip to South America and more than half the time they came apart at the folding joints when I placed them in muddy soft ground. Moreover, in certain weather, it was impossible to fold them because the metal swelled. I called Paragon Sports where I bought the pulls for full price last month and they said to call Black Diamond. I called Black Diamond and they said if I didn't buy the poles from their site, they wouldn't stand by the product. 200. 00 plus dollars in the garbage. Hard to swallow."
