Mt. Kilimanjaro

"These were the perfect poles for summiting Mt. Kilimanjaro. They are lightweight and compact for pack carry. Due to their light weight, easy to place where needed on the rocky trail. The cork grips are comfortable and grippy even with gloves. And as discovered during a fall, much stronger than aluminum poles."

decent

"The poles are a great design with lots of little useful features. I like the hard plastic grips at the top they're big enough to hold onto and the hard plastic makes for nice grip surface. Downsides: the cork isn't all that durable. After one hike there are rough spots that are annoying to grip. The straps are OK but not the most comfortable. I like the idea of the hex bit for tightening the clamps but the one that comes in the pole is too small. When I tried using it, it just turned inside the hex screw without tightening it."

Great poles

"I had the lighter carbon fiber poles, and was a little wary of trying these ones out. Very sturdy worked wonderful for my race and the grips are super comfortable."

The FLZ trekking poles kept

"The FLZ trekking poles kept collapsing on me during my first hike using them in Vermont/ very frustrating!"

— Richard P. (1/5)

"Just what i wanted. Light weight and packable for travel."

Good poles, but Weed grabbers

"Great sturdy, lightweight poles but the plastic clip that attaches the bottom two sections for storage grabs weeds and brush on the trail. It appears to be permanently attached to the bottom section so I gues I will have to cut it off. Is there any other solution?"

— Mary S. (4/5)
