"LOVE this pack! A superb cross between a traditional day pack and lightweight trail running vest. The adjustable fit allows for a snug, comfortable feel that doesn't sway or bounce when running or fast-packing rugged trails and terrain. Yet, it holds enough gear for long day hikes where the weather may change quickly. I wore mine on a recent hut-to-hut hike (where we spurged to have our big gear bags transferred each night) and it held a puffy jacket, hat, gloves, raincoat, sun shirt and plenty of snacks and water without any problem. Great work, Black Diamond!"
"This is a great pack for a serious day hike. Has all the benefits of the fit of a running vest, but with the ability to shift the load onto your hips for heavier days out. Z poles fit perfectly into side mesh pockets, but are out of reach unless you remove the pack. Additional somewhat separate mesh in front of the pole pockets was perfect for cell phone on one side and bear spray on the other; both of those easily accessible while wearing. Soft flask pocket on the shoulder was a little small for the . 5, but it works and it never fell out."
