Awesome Lantern

"Took the Orbiter 650 on our most recent camping trip. It was awesome . Great mount of light from a small package. Would recommend to others."

ORBITER 650 LANTERN: Not a bad lantern, but ...

"ORBITER 650 LANTERN: The lantern comes with a "start here" card with a QR code leading to a page with links to "view warranty" and "more". Click the "more" link and a page comes up with a "How-to video". The problem is, that video demonstrated by Andrew Ford talks about how to operate your headlamp. Headlamp. Not Orbiter 650. So useless and leads to the 3 stars. Another option is: "Quick Start Guide" This one is a bit better, but the directions are wrong. It says you can cycle through color modes to better night vision preservation. "...press and hold mode button to switch between red, green, and blue light. " But that is a lie. It cycles through what it calls "campfire mode" and then goes to blue. Pressing again, whether a quick press or holding for 2 seconds it only starts going through it's "party" phase where the light automatically cycles through magenta, red, green, white, blue.... it never allows you to stop on red for example, which would of course be actually useful. I don't need a psychedelic light show. Again: 3 stars. The light is also much bigger than I expected. Bigger and heavier. But that's on me and I wouldn't downgrade the number of stars for that. But, wrong video, wrong instructions, wrong ability to stick to a red color.... yeah, that deserves some downgrading. 3 stars if not 2. Blackdiamond: fix your site. fix your instructions. fix the Orbiter 650. Thank you."

Good Lantern

"Bright enough for the camp site, I like the usb-c universal charger, different light modes and colors are nice. A lot bigger than I thought, I was buying to replace an old one I lost, and this one while the same design, is a lot larger. Not an issue as I'm only using for car camping, but not one you'd want for the backcountry."

Good lantern choice

"The 650 has worked well for me on every occasion. We mainly use it for general lighting in our tent. My only small complaint is that it’s difficult to unlock the controls."

Nice Versatile Lantern

"Nice for basecamp you can hang it, set it up high or low, and have multiple light settings. Very bright."

Nice bright. Hut light

"Used this a few times since purchased. It lit up the whole forest service cabin but did not last very long. Not sure if I had fully charged it though. There are 3 ports on the bottom. One for charging the device. One for charging your device and a USB. It can be confusing which port is which and what the designer was thinking. Overall its a good buy much better than the competition"
