Purple Piton!

"Four starts because I haven't yet had a chance to put this coefficient storm hoody through the ringer in rugged high alpine environments, but I'm digging the fit and the fun looking purple piton colorway. The hoody is a bit heavier than I'd prefer, but if the functionality and durability are top notch than I'll deal with the extra weight."

Comfortable and functional

"Have had this jacket for over a year, and it is effective as a medium-warm fleece for while you are moving in cold temps. Packs down reasonably well and is very protective against wind. Has a narrow fit for the body, so makes it a great mid layer. Would love to see a hoodless fz fleece with similar insulation."

Multifunctional warmth

"I got this more for trail running and hiking as I’m not much of a climber. Overall it seems to be great for cold weather active pursuits. My only two minor issues are with the sleeves and hood. First off, I’m not short, per se, but I found the sleeves to be exceptionally long for the size. On top of that, they have no elastic cuff or anything that would allow one to keep the longer sleeves out of the way short of rolling them up. So, I actually just dropped my new jacket off at the seamstress last week to have the sleeves taken up and a little bit elastic added. The hood is similarly large. It might be fine with a climbing helmet on, but it’s way too big for just a hat or bare head. So, I suspect it will blow around and not stay put when I’m out on windy runs. Would be a big improvement if they added a cinch cord or something to make hood adjustments. Other than those minor issues though, I really like the jacket, especially the bold plumb color I got."
