Amazing one boot quiver

"I picked up a pair of the BD Circuit Mids for a trip to Japan. Aside from my ski boots and onsen slippers, these were the only shoes I brought on the 14 day trip. From the plane, to the terminal, to the streets of Tokyo, to the Japanese Alps of Hakuba, to the powder covered slopes in Hokkaido, these boots took me everywhere across concrete, ice, and slush. They kept my feet secure and comfortable through a wide temperature range. Surprisingly as comfortable as a sneaker and stable as a mountaineering boot. Magically there were no cold or sweaty feet regardless of the conditions. Amazingly waterproof and breathable. An excellent “one boot quiver” for wherever life brings you."

Like a pair of durable slippers

"I bought these for use in a mix of terrain and conditions out here in the mountains. I was surprised by how light they were, and how comfortable. . . more so than other trail shoes I have tried. Pretty solid on ice and durable!"

Love these winter boots!

"Very comfortable and lightweight. I love the style and they are warm enough to wear to work on cold days and breathable enough to wear in the office throughout the day. I’m very impressed with these and would buy them again. Fit is narrow but does open up. Love the stretchy top. So comfortable! Love them!"

Great shoe

"Really love these shoes! Coming from blundstones, they have a similar feel, especially around the ankle, but are lightweight and maybe even a little more comfortable. Seems like they are high-quality and will last a while (though I haven't had them very long). Super happy with these!"

"Fantastic footwear and wonderful company."

Possible Design Flaw. . . ?

"BD approach shoes are among the coolest shoes on the market and practically all I wear -- I am sad to see them go. So, I went for the boots. But after wearing them four or five times and just starting to really dig them, I looked down and saw what appears to be a design flaw (please see photos). Where the shoe bends, on the outside of where the little toe meets the foot, there is a lot of wear on a shoe -- and in this case the stitching on the shoe is already coming out and a seam has opened up. I only bought them a month ago on this site; I would think I would qualify for an exchange. But that is my predicament: To exchange them is to take my own time and money to box and ship them back, and then wait for a new pair; but it's November in the Pacific Northwest and I need to wear my boots. Frustrated and not sure what to do. . ."

Comfort to the summit……

"I needed a hiking boot, but wanted something with style… worked well for me in the eastern Sierra Nevada. . made for a comfortable summit…. ."

Unique boots/shoes

"I swapped out the stock footbeds for some quality curved orthotics—if you have high arches like I do, you’ll probably want to do the same, as the original insoles feel pretty flat. After a few weeks of regular use, including pressure washing my dirtbike and truck out in the rain, I can say these boots keep my feet dry and comfortable. It’s a great hybrid design—part shoe, part boot. At first, I wasn’t sure about the stretchy ankle collar and almost returned them because of it. But after a few wears, I came to really appreciate that feature. It makes for an effortless, hands-free slip-on when the laces are loose. Once you lace them up tight, the stretch material disappears into the background—it doesn’t affect the fit at all. The only reason I’m giving these 4 stars instead of 5 is the limited color options. I really like the design and would love to see more colors offered in the future. Overall, I love the direction Black Diamond is taking with this footwear. Solid build, smart features, and legit comfort."
