"Been looking for something more lightweight and breathable on big day hikes/runs. Its super stable on my back while being all of those things! Very happy 🙂"
"The BD distance 15 pack fits quite nicely and has well thought out features. I particularly like the capability to carry one collapsed pole along each side of the pack. However, I used an osprey 1. 5L water reservoir, and the dedicated reservoir pocket is slightly small when filled to capacity. In turn, the back padding has shifted, which creates bulk at the top of the pack which is perceptible at the top of my back/bottom of my neck. BD could solve this by stitching the foam padding in place behind the mesh back panel."
"Just upgraded from my pack of the same model. Amazing upgrades from past iterations, addressing small issues I had in the past with it (emphasis on small). Looking forward to having this pack for many years of alpine adventures."
"I bought this pack for my 10 day run across Iceland(215 miles) I needed to hold a lot more gear then I typically run with. It did great holding all gear: food, water, puffer, emergency kit, rain gear my Black diamond rain jacket was awesome as well! I went through all different conditions from 20-30 mile an hour winds with dust, rain and sleet and my pack kept my stuff clean and dry! I would recommend this pack on any long run/trek."
"Super light, water resistant, good pocket layout on the straps, love that it comes in several volumes for different load needs. Was very comfortable fast packing with two extra liters of water, tons of snacks, a Nanopuff, a Helinox Speed Stool (in a pole pocket) and a few other things with plenty of room to spare. I look forward to using it for quickly accessing backcountry streams; an 8-piece-9' rod fits in the pole pocket perfectly. I won't hesitate to purchase another if I need additional capacity. Tremendous value. Also, the white color way looks dope."
"I've been eyeing this pack since it's first iteration. I was thrilled to finally purchase it and use it for my runs. It's super ergonomic; I love using it to run to work with my gear inside, perfect for x2 500ml flasks, keeps my hydrated in the FL heat! I can't recommend this pack enough. The ripstop nylon is also a game-changer, means this pack will last me a very long time."
"Overall I loved this pack at first. It's a great size for longer distance runs or mountain endeavors. The material for the main compartment is pretty water resistant and durable. You can set it down on rocks and whatnot without too much concern unlike many other vests. It balances weight well, though sits a bit lower on the back than other options. My main dislike is the shoulder strap material, otherwise this would get a 5 star review. It's thin which is nice and breathable, however it isn't very durable. After about 1000 miles I had tears begin to form along some of the seams. I made some repairs and continued to use it but after maybe 1300 miles the straps were basically disintegrating. They ripped in a bunch of places and the material is so thin that repairs are futile. That seems like a shorter lifespan than a vest should have. Maybe I could have washed it more frequently to get the salt out from sweat, that may have reduced the lifespan a bit. But it's disappointing when the entire pack is still fine, but the straps just fall apart."
"Like genuinely the perfect size for moving fast in the mountain. Prolly fine if you aren’t brining a rope. Might be a bit heavy otherwise. But much love. White one is the best. All other Colors suck. If your from revy you need this."
"Grabbed this for speed runs in the White Mountains. Perfect combination of size (layers, shell, bit of food) and speed. Will be my go to alps pack for lower altitude stuff."
"Perfect day pack/multipitch climbing pack."
