"The material does a great job protecting the rest of your gear from sharp points, and the mesh panel allows the crampons to breathe and dry out. However, the mesh can allow sharp points to poke through, so you still need to be mindful when packing. I do wish the venting were placed on the sides instead, which would offer airflow while providing better protection."
