One Thing To Make Note Of
"I have never been disappointed in any of my BD purchases. This review is no exception. I did want to point out that anyone wanting to try these should see that this doesn't have the typical BD bomber, rubber type strap material that sits under your boot. It is a small piece of cord. I own the previous version that came with a quality shoe string and two rivet holes on either side. I haven't found a good way to tie a knot to the inside rivet without worrying about getting my crampon caught on it every once in a while. This new iteration seems to have addressed this by making it more of a strong, thin piece of cord and some shrink tubing to avoid having to tie a knot. The outside (lateral) hole (where a rivet used to be) can be utilized to tie a knot seeing as you won't catch a crampon on the outside of your leg. I kind of wish these came like the other gators with the rubberized strap but realize they are trying to keep the ounces down (while trying to keep the gators from riding up).
