The Black Diamond Solution 2.0 Vest is a sleek, minimalist layer with both windproof/weather-resistance and compressible insulation.

Featuring 60-g PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation, this vest shuts down the cold from the inside out, and stuffs into its own pocket for packability while on the move. The durable polyester shell and lining is made from recycled content and feature DWR without intentionally added PFAS for weather protection. Additional features include two zippered hand pockets and a zippered chest pocket to store essentials.

"I also own the Access Down 2. 0 vest in a medium, which I love wearing around town. I bought this vest specifically for outdoor pursuits. I tend to be hard on my gear and didn’t want to risk ruining a vest I wear almost daily. This one is much thinner, but just as warm. I bought it in a large thinking it would accommodate extra layers when I’m in the mountains. I don’t think the size-up was necessary. Even with the extra fabric, it’s not excessive or cumbersome. It layers really well with a light weight or mid-weight jacket, or on its own with a base layer. Glad I bought. For reference, I’m 5’7”, 155 lbs athletic build with long arms, broad shoulders, and a short torso. It’s a bit long for me, but I don’t mind. I don’t like to feel restricted when I’m active. This vest helps me adapt to temp changes without putting on more restrictive layers and still moderate core temp nicely."
