"My wife has become stockier with adge, and her older jackets (mediums from various brands) no longer close comfortably on her. Black Diamond cuts its Large jackets slim enough that she can wear the large Solution Hoody and the large Treeline rainshell with comfort, and have it fit right across the shoulders and in the arms. Both size Large jackets allow some space for layering, and the added length (versus a medium) gives her mover coverage at the hips."

"I sat on the fence for a while before buying this. I already had the Deploy 1. 0 jacket and thought they were too similar to be worthwhile. I’m so glad I finally caved in and bought it. I have broad shoulders, long arms, and a small torso. I’m 5’ 7” and 150 lbs athletic build. Size medium is perfect for me to put thinner layers on underneath without excess fabric on the jacket. I wore it recently with a hard shell on top on a typical PNW spring day - cold, rainy, windy, then sunshine, promptly followed by hail. I was outside all day in this jacket. I was perfectly warm, snug as a bug, without overheating while rappelling, climbing, and hauling gear in and out. On its own it’s a great jacket. If you’re looking for a lighter weight, mid-layer jacket or a cozy friend to add for shoulder season or cooler temp days, this is worth a solid look."
"Super light, super warm, throw out that old inflexible down jacket. Black diamond soft goods are goated and this is just another piece of the puzzle. Size m fit my 5'8" ~135lb narrow shouldered girlfriend perfectly. It's got the warmth of a down jacket but moves so much better. Cannot recommend more, especially if you can snag used or on sale."
"The fit on this is perfect (I'm 5'3", 125lb, athletic build). I'm usually a small, and I ordered an XS so it would be a slimer midlayer that fit under a shell and bibs for skiing. Probably would have gone with a small if I just planned to wear this as an outer layer or wanted to layer more under it."
