"So bad. I have the notion shorts in the same size and the dirtbags are absolutely massive in comparison. No amount of drawstring can save them. The relaxed fit is tough to nail and BD is a complete miss this year. So much fabric around the front and just a frumpy fit overall. Maybe those of us with athletic bodies need to size down? Not sure, but these are definitely going back."

"I have two pairs of these in XS corduroy, Moab Brown and Navy, purchased in May 2024, and I've worn them nonstop for the past two summers so thought I'd buy more colors. But the Deep Woods and Birch corduroy XS purchased in 2025 are too big, unfortunately -- I'd need to use the drawstring to keep them up, they're longer, the butt isn't flattering, and the extra fabric in the front bunches when I sit down. I was able to try on a Birch XXS and the fit is pretty much identical to the original XS I purchased, maybe a smidge smaller at the waist. I'll buy more XXS when back in stock, but wish the sizing had remained consistent! I'm 5'3", 115 lbs, straight athletic frame with 27. 5" waist and 36. 5" hips. On the plus side, the 2024 pairs are holding up great -- there's some fading/whiskering in the color around the hips, but I kind of like the signs of wear. Attaching pictures of my older brown XS and the new deep woods XS for comparison."
"I have these shorts in both the twill and the corduroy. The twill fits looser than the corduroy, but the XS still fits me perfectly in both. The drawstring is needed in the twill but I don't use it in the corduroy. The rear pockets could be deeper for phone storage during casual use, but I love the drop in pockets in front for no-worry carrying of small items. I haven't really worn any other shorts since getting these!"
"These shorts are great! They are very stretchy and are made from a durable material. I really like the length because I can wear a harness with them, and they won't ride up. They are also great for bouldering (and I'm sure they are comfy to hike in too). Follow the size chart b/c they fit great based off of that!"
