Not the best

"After a year of some use the lamination on the waist got loose making it pretty soft and therefore uncomfortable. As mentioned before, the legloops curl around themself making a hanging belay pretty uncomfortable. Sent it to warranty, they said it’s all fine… Too pricey for such quality…"

Very light and surprisingly comfortable

"Very light and surprisingly comfortable harness, good for sport and alpine climbing, the gear loops are a bit small but big enough if you don't plan on taking a full double rack."

Very uncomfortable harness

"By far the most uncomfortable harness i've used in 11 years of climbing. The leg-supports curl around themselves so that your legs are only supported by a thin strap, making it unbearable on long belays. Even though they look wide, only the inner third of the leg-loops give support. The same goes for the hip-belt. This one doesn't bend in on itself like the leg-loops do but still offers support only in the middle part. Poor design in my opinion."

Impressively versatile harness

"Light and unobtrusive enough to wear on glacier/traditional mountaineering, fully featured and supportive enough to climb any ice/alpine/rock route. This will likely be my go to ice and alpine harness, although I'll probably reach for other BD harnesses for my rock and most alpine rock needs. - Construction is featherweight, while the waist/leg bands are wide enough for support even on hanging-ish belays. - Gear loops are roughly the same size and slightly thinner material than on typical BD harnesses, but still adequate to hold a double rack. Wish the rear gear 5th loop was a bit burlier. - Middle ice clipper slots are wide enough for any ice clipper, front ones are smaller and will only accept BD size ice clippers. - Infinity belay loop is as always a nice touch."

Good Ice Climbing Harness, Could be Better

"I got this harness for ice climbing; I liked the weight, the multiple clip loops (be warned, doesn't work well with Petzl ice clippers), and the belt in Recco cause why not? After taking it out once, I really enjoyed the way it felt while being lowered (comfortable), I enjoyed how it felt climbing (in that I didn't feel it), and the belay loop was good stuff (didn't care about the infinite loop when I bought, but now enjoy). Crucially, I did not like that I had to cock it to the right, in order to make the gear equi-distant from my center, and creating an awkward tie-in - would highly recommend BD add a buckle on either side of the belay loop, for the ability to center the harness."

Sooo light and comfy!

"This was purchased in large part for the built in Recco. I’m pretty partial to living, so I wanted to give myself the best chance in being rescued in the event of a slide or other incident. That said, I love how small it packs down and its feather weight mass. I do like the black and lime green coloring as well. Haven’t taken a whipper in it yet, but sitting suspended is quite comfortable."

Pretty Comfortable

"Very comfortable, I can forget I'm wearing it sometimes. Not too amazing for long trad belays, but unrivaled for hard sport-climbing"

Ryan L. (5/5)

The lightest and most comfortable gym harness I've ever owned

"This harness folds down to about a third of the size of a regular harness. It's so light that I can't even tell that I have it on. Hanging in it is a shade less comfortable than hanging in a traditional nylon harness, but it's not enough to be highly noticeable. The RECCO is nice, but it makes the harness just a little harder to fold in half when putting it back into the bag. I would recommend 5/5."
