My fingers & hands are happy 😃

"Great / Excellent mittens… Using with my hiking poles was awkward at first, had to get use to it… I put these to the test daily at 4:00 AM when I start my 4 mile hike… In 20 degree Fahrenheit weather I usually have my mitts off for about 20 to 30 minutes, at that point my fingers are FREEZING 🥶 In less than 3 minutes my fingers & hands are warm with & without liner gloves… My fingers sweat badly without the liners; I use a very thin pair of liner gloves because the mitts fit tightly around my hands, size medium (small hand with fat fingers)… Taking them on & off in the cold is fun because I know my fingers and hands will be warm instantly… I also take them off and let them sit for an hour while I’m on the phone, and although the mitts are cold, when I put my hands back inside them, my hands & fingers warm up quickly within 3 minutes or less… When my mitts are off, I stick my phone inside to let it warm up also… I have a pair of over mitts I use with these to protect the BD mitts… Overall, I’m 100% satisfied…"

Love these!

"Warm, light, and keep my hands dry! I think I’m a convert from Hestra mitts, which I’ve been using for over 15 years."

toasty

"the warmest, most functional mitts I've ever had for skiing."

Separate index finger?

"Great gloves, but I find the separate index finger in the liner entirely puzzling. It adds not dexterity when the mittens are worn, but greatly decreases warmth-- I ended up exchanging for different gloves. And what a shame, because these are otherwise super warm, lightweight, and well-designed!"

So close. .

"There is much too love about these mitts. They are truly well insulted, warm mittens. So warm, that for most locations/times you might only use them part of the time. That’s where the light weight and packability comes in. And still waterproof. The separate index finger “sleeve” inside the mitten actually works great: it helps stabilize the mitten when you grab things (less of the layers of material sliding on themselves). Two big misses though: Design/manufacture: the palm side lining and insulation are not cut proportionally. This means there is excess material bunching up, even with your palm open. When bending your hand, like you’d do most of the time with this mittens, whether trekking poles, ice axe, handlebars etc, it gets even worse. Design/cost cutting: the tip of the thumb is not covered in leather. This is a common wear location. The rest of the finger tips and palm are covered in leather for grip and durability, why not this little bit? In fact, there is a double patch of leather over the thumb/palm joint. What use is all that extra weight, cost and packed size, if the thumb will wear out long before? I have worn out other gloves in that exact spot. Either it should be super minimal leather reinforcement, or it should cover all common wear areas."

XS is still too big and why the finger hole inside?!

"These gloves fit very large. I understand that space can hold heat or a liner can be worn with them. I'm a typical size small woman, but even the XS is too big and my hands are not very small!! The mittens have an index finger slot sewn on the inside- which is not noted in the product description and is a cause of cold fingers. I returned them and will not purchase again."

VERY LIGHTWEIGHT

"Great fit and very lightweight. They will always be in my pack on winter skiing/climbing days and will my go to on cold days riding the lifts."
