Great addition

"Climbed Mount Hood this past weekend - great to have some security out there."

The Spinner Leash has been

"The Spinner Leash has been a reliable addition to my ice and mixed climbing gear. The elasticized leashes maintain just the right amount of tension and stay out of the way during movement. The swiveling design prevents twists which is essential in technical terrain. The attachment system feels secure and it brings extra confidence without reducing freedom of motion. It performs well in cold environments and has shown no wear so far. I am pleased with the overall build quality and it has become a standard part of my setup."

Best Leash System

"Best of the best leash system"

Perfect as described

"They work swimmingly - they're just long enough to not restrict your movement when reaching for a high tool placement, and short enough to not constantly get caught around everything. The freely rotating connection point means that the tools don't get caught up around each other, you can just switch hands without issue. I've been feeling much more secure since using the leashes, it's a comfort to know that I won't lose a tool if something goes wrong"

Great to have locking carabiners

"Great to have locking carabiners"

Much improved from the first gen.

"The first generation of the spinner leash did not have locking carabiners and this was a total PIA. They would unclip themselves randomly and without warning and sometimes get caught on ice when making upward movement. I liked using them for multi-pitch ice when I deem dropping a tool to be an unacceptable risk. The swivel means you can changed hands and more or less do all the moves leash-less climbing enables. BD rates them for 2KN which is not even close to being enough to take a fall but is enough for body weight, which is good. However I would recommend clipping into your tool directly with a PAS or sling to rest if need be because these stretch too much to be able grab the tool easily once weighted, and this can't be helped."
