"I bought this swivel while expanding my big wall gear collection and racking up for a big season in Yosemite. In just a matter of months this swivel suspended and managed loads between 100 - 300 lbs on Yosemite classics including Lurking Fear on El Capitan, Leaning Tower and Washington's Column. A partner and I even attempted Mescalito, a longer and much more technical route on El Capitan. This route requires more food, water and gear. Our loads estimating to about 300lbs. Although my partner and I eventually buckled under the weight of hauling- this swivel never wavered! With so many things to occupy my mind on the wall, the security and manageability of my bags never became a concern on the ocean of granite that is Yosemite Valley! Although it's only six months old, it's been the center piece of my big wall bag set up on 5 walls. It remains as durable and smooth as ever and has stood the test of use."
Gave out in just over a year
"The swivel worked great for a year, holding my weight and spinning smootly and without hitches. Sadly, it gave up just a couple of months after the one year warranty period had elapsed. There is a lot of crunchy friction in the swivel now, and it is at an angle, and completely unusable and untrustworthy. I expected better - and have had swivels that have lasted years."
