Reviewers consistently praise the RockLock Twistlock for its smooth autolocking gate that's easy to work with one hand, even with gloves on, and for a solid build that holds up over years of use. It's a go-to locker for belay devices like the ATC and GriGri, anchors, rappels and munter hitches, and many buyers also rely on it for rope rescue, glacier guiding, tower work and EMS. The most common critiques: it's on the larger, heavier side for multi-pitch, and some climbers prefer a triple-action gate for extra security.

"Great locker. Good smooth locking action."
"I have been using Black Diamonds twist lock carabiners for over 10 years now at work in the public safety communications industry. I have never had any issues with the locks or quality of the workmanship. Whenever mine "walk off" I replace them with new Black Diamond carabiners."
"This is the best and only twistlock you will ever need and the color is awesome. Replaced a couple of older ones and could not be happier with this one."
"Added to my via ferrata lanyard resting tether."
"Great quality"
"Yes, there are less expensive options, but these are worth the extra money. The auto lock feature works flawlessly, the the large, textured gate is easy to use even when wearing mittens or gloves. Purchased these to use in teaching Low Angle Rescue courses for the NSP."
"The Rocklock is a perfect Locking Carabiner. Very secure but quick to release when needed using the two release mechanisms. Light but big holding surface for tie-ins and attaching gear. Thanks."
"I love my new carabiner. I actually thought I was buying the less expensive model, which is what I originally wanted, but I had no way of actually knowing not being a rock climber and everything. I personally bought these just lug around my keys and I love the twist lock"
"No complaints"
"Smooth action, fair price, overall very satisfied."
