Combining maximum security and ease of use like never before, the Black Diamond Magnetron RockLock uses the power of magnets to reinvent the triple lock carabiner.

Magnetron Technology uses a magnet in the carabiner's keylock nose and steel gate arms to create an ultra-secure, self-clearing, and redundant locking mechanism that can easily be used with either hand. Our classic RockLock shape is ideal for belaying, making anchors, or rappelling, and its keylock nose prevents snagging on slings and ropes.

THE HISTORY OF MAGNETRON

Our passion for climbing and innovation led us to create Magnetron Technology back in 2013. A revolution in auto-locking carabiner design, the original Magnetron was the first triple locking carabiner to use magnets, creating a secure locking carabiner that was actually easy to use with one hand. For a time, the Magnetron was discontinued, but through continued innovation, we brought it back! Featuring a new design and the same ultra-secure and easy-to-use functionality.
