Reviews

The cuff is a little

"The cuff is a little bit tight, struggle to get my hands into them and the fingers are definitely a bit too long providing for poor dexterity. Other than that the gloves are warm enough for sure and the goat leather palm gives excellent durability"

The gloves I didn't realize I needed

"I love these. I try to bring contingent items when hiking in the mountains as I have to deal with Renauds, but this helps me reduce the amount of handwear to bring with me."

Great Dexterity for Active Cold-Weather Use

"The Black Diamond Midweight Softshell Gloves have become my go-to gloves for hiking, climbing, and general outdoor use in cool to cold conditions. They provide an excellent balance of warmth, breathability, and dexterity, making them ideal for activities where you’re constantly moving and using your hands. The softshell material does a great job blocking wind and shedding light moisture, while still allowing enough breathability to prevent overheating during high-output activities. The fit is comfortable and close to the hand, making it easy to handle trekking poles, climbing gear, zippers, and other equipment without constantly removing the gloves. I especially appreciate the touchscreen-compatible fingertips, which make it easy to check a phone or GPS without exposing my hands to the cold. While they aren’t intended for extreme winter conditions, they excel as a versatile glove for hiking, trail running, shoulder-season adventures, and active use in the mountains. Overall, these gloves offer excellent comfort, dexterity, and weather protection, making them a dependable addition to any outdoor gear kit."

To hard to get on and off and not warm enough.

"The XL are to hard to get on and off, you need to sell them in 2XL. And your Heavyweight ones are not in stock! I would not recommend them or buy them again I gave them to the kids next door."

top gloves

"The best gloves I’ve ever had — they’re light and warm. I ski in Québec, so we know what cold means! I bought a second pair because I change twice a day. Good winter everyone !"

Perfect

"I use these for fall backpacking, ultras and ski touring in the winter. Great fit."

Warm and comfy

"I wish that BD still make the lightweight softshell gloves- they were so perfect for windy cold days where you are still sweating. The best liner glove I ever had. My hands got COLD easily and those were great. These are also great but a bit too warm for the skin track unless its really cold. Mid-weight as advertised."
