The removable insulated liner, filled with Primaloft Gold Cross Core, dries quickly, and insulates even when wet. A four-way stretch fabric shell and a long gauntlet cuff keep spindrift and moisture outside, while the goat leather palm and additional reinforcement layer stands up to rocky terrain, repeated rope handling and the general wear and tear associated with dedicated mountain use.

"These mittens are very warm and kept my hands warm and dry no matter what Mother Nature threw at me. Easily kept my hands plenty warm in the single digits. The gloves came with some Nikwax waterproofing for the leather palm. It took about 10 minutes to apply. The mittens are well-built. Overall, I am extremely happy with my purchase. Definitely recommend."
"First a premise, I bought the Mercury Mitt in 2013 and used them ~20 times since then. In cold condition they worked great until a couple of weeks ago when I used them in rain/wet snow conditions. They soaked up water easily and mostly from the soft fabric on the thumb area. Upon inspection I noticed that the soft fabric is like see-through. Possibly this was mistake in making them and not having a waterproof layer on the inside. By now they may have fixed this issue, but if I had realized that earlier I would have certainly returned them immediately."

"I have very cold fingers. Even as I sit here now in my heated apartment and type this, my fingers are cold. So when I go hiking around in the mountains in winter as I love to do, I need something to keep from feeling like they're going to freeze off. I went through multiple pairs of gloves trying to find something that would both keep me warm AND could get wet. Last Christmas, my mom bought me a pair of these and. . . they are perfect. I thought nothing would ever actually keep my fingers warm in sub-freezing temps, but these absolutely do. I lost one of them while hiking a little while back, and immediately bought a new pair. Warm, comfortable, not heavy, and there's even this little spot on the side to wipe your runny nose on (at least I THINK that's what it's for?). 10/10 mitts."
"One of the liners packed out in a week. The liners are a sherpa type fleece that can not hold up. I use the mitts for alpine skiing and simply griping my pole caused the fleece to loose all its loft."
