Combining BD.dry™, our 3-layer, engineered waterproof/breathable/windproof solution, with a DWR finish, this jacket performs well in seriously wet conditions. Packable and low profile this jacket features taped seams, a sleek, waterproof zipper, and adjustable cuffs and hem seal out moisture. A slight droptail silhouette adds protection and zip underarm vents allow for ventilation when things heat up. Plus, two zippered hand pockets to stash your on-the-go essentials.

BD.dry™ 3L face fabrics are treated with a DWR solution without intentionally added PFAS and these fabrics have a hydrophilic membrane that allows water vapor to transfer through, making them waterproof, yet breathable. Applied to the backside of this fabric is a third layer, jersey backer, that feels comfortable next to the skin and allows moisture to turn to vapor before passing through the hydrophilic membrane. "It’s a great shell with plenty of functionality. I was looking for a “breathable” waterproof shell for hiking and tested it multiple times in central america rainforest downpours. I stayed dry and never felt clammy. Fit works well for my long arms and light stretch is a plus. Classic BD imo."

"Nice shell and high quality, but forwarded they installed female left hand main zippers on all the male versions. I didn’t realize until I went to use it on a trip. Super irritating to zip. And no where in the description does it mention a left hand zip. I called my local store and they couldn’t explain it either, but said it wasn’t returnable with removed tags."

"Handled 1" of hourly snowfall with ease. Minimal loss of heat after an hour. The way the doors for the heat vents are set up does allow for some air to get through if the arms are extended, like while riding bicycle, but I don't believe it'll allow water in given their position."
