"Bought this short (and the same pant) for indoor climbing. I’m 6’3” 220lbs. Fabric feels good, light colour doesn’t show much chalk. They fit well, not tight but no excess material. I think they are a bit short which might be intentional. Waist is a drawstring which is fine but no fly so a bit more effort to visit the potty. Pairs well with Momentum harness."

"I’d rate the Black Diamond shorts a solid 5 out of 5. The fit is spot-on—true to size and not too tight or baggy, which I really appreciate. "The Sequence Shorts are a great fit for someone looking for a short that can do casual and climbing (or hiking) in equal measure. The fabric is breathable but not so techy it’s too much for everyday use, and I loved the overall cut and design, especially with a drawstring waist, two side hip pockets, and closable back pocket (the snap is cool!). They’re not so short that you’ll regret putting a harness on, but just about short enough that your legs will get to enjoy the sunshine and you might even get a compliment or two. The fit might favor the tall and skinny overall, so you might want to size up if you’re on fence, but other than that this is a super-functional short that actually looks cool too!"
"4/5 stars Solid, Comfortable Shorts I’m a 31” waist, and the size medium fits great. It’s a snug, active fit for me, while still being super comfortable. I really like the combination of the elastic waistband and material—they feel like gym shorts but look a lot nicer. I wear them to the gym a lot, for bouldering or working out, and just lounging too. I think they’ll be perfect hiking when it warms up. Overall, I dig 'em, but I’m giving them 4/5 stars because I’m not sure I love the fit under a climbing harness, and I prefer sport climbing over bouldering."
"The deep front pockets are very nice. They hold a wallet and iPhone pretty well. I would have preferred either no rear pocket or one with a small zipper. The rear button pocket doesn't do much for me. Too early to know for certain, but the fabric feels very durable and seems like it would be pretty abrasion resistant. Fabric is very comfortable next to skin, has just the right amount of stretch/give, so as not to restrict movement, yet still looks 'nice' (not sloppy). I feel that I could dress these shorts up or down. They are very versatile! Wear them to hike in, wear them to a cafe or even wear them to dinner at a restaurant. Colorway is great and the orange accents on the drawstring tips are cool. I prefer the drawstring (like what is currently on the product), versus just an elastic band. Nicely done! These size large fit great! I'm normally on the fence between size medium and large in shorts/pants, but more often than not I'm a size medium. Overall rating: 4+ I would highly recommend them to a friend!"
