"I’ve been on a multi-year quest for the ideal pair of everyday/outdoor shorts and these Black Diamond shorts are the clear winner. The material feels premium — lightweight, quick-drying, and tough enough for real use without being stiff or noisy. The fit is spot-on: comfortable through the hips and thighs with just the right amount of stretch so they move with you instead of restricting. What really sets them apart is the pockets. They’re deep, well-placed, and actually usable — phone stays secure, keys don’t dig in, and I can actually carry a few small tools or snacks without everything shifting around. I’ve tried shorts from Origin, Backcountry, and several other brands, and none of them checked all the boxes like these do. Whether I’m hiking, working around the house, or just running errands, these have become my daily go-to. Excellent build quality from a brand that clearly understands real-world use. "Compared to a medium of other BD bottoms, I would say its like 1-1. 5 sizes smaller than those. Inseam Shorter than expected, waist and thighs are smaller than expected too. Besides the tight fit fabric, stretch and construction are great!"
