"Great jacket so far. Impressed."

Stretch + Water Repelling

"What stood out immediately to me about this jacket was the amount of stretch in the fabric. I can’t wait to combine it withh the bibs because the whole kit is going to play super well with the amount of stretch that I’m seeing in the jacket. Usually when you have this much stretch it introduces water repellency issues not the case with this fabric the water just beads right off as if it’s a hard shell. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review."

Finally a L that fits!

"I am 6’2” 195# and always between a L and XL. Well, this is a proper L I tell you! I can move like an athlete in this jacket as it should be. Good versatile weight, I don’t overheat in it and I get quite a bit of wind protection. This winter out the door with this on and a light gore layer on top. If you are on the move this layer will make you smile"

bad service

"Terrible customer & deliver service! Worst ever!"

Overall, my first impressions are

"Overall, my first impressions are good for this jacket. I like the number and size of the pockets that it comes with. The overside hood and its adjustability are also nice features. The stretch of the fabric is nice and the jacket holds up well in wet or windy conditions. The one critique that I have is that I wish there were pit zips. I have not used it ski touring but can imagine that I would want pit zips for that use case."

Note: I received this product

"Note: I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. Initial impressions (haven't used it in the field): nice feature set with a slightly boxy fit. It has a reasonable set of pockets and doesn't go overboard. Two side pockets, chest pocket, and two internal pockets for skins. Helmet fits under hood with sufficient clearance to turn my head comfortably. Not as slim as similar pieces from Arc'teryx/Norrona. Lots of extra space on the sides and in the lower half, enough for a fleece mid-layer. Sleeve length and center back length are good for me at 6'4". Looking forward to testing in the field on days when I need more weather protection than a sun hoody."

Great feel and fit. Keeps

"Great feel and fit. Keeps you nice and dry in the rain."

Betty C. (5/5)

Strange fit

"Material and design are 5 star. Sleeves are way too long for me and the torso length is way too short."

Jake R. (3/5)

As an avid backcountry skier

"As an avid backcountry skier I have used a lot of different shells. The fit is true to size, the soft shell fabric is durable but also breathable and the internal glove pockets are great for quick transitions without having to remove your backpack. I have not been able to use the jacket yet in snow, but have tested it in a light rain and it whicker water effectively. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a effective jacket for ski touring that is sick of bringing a larger, bulky shell with them. Black Diamond gave me this free product to try. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review."

Nice she’ll for shoulder season MTBing and backcountry skinning.

"This shell does the trick. Works well while mountain biking on a colder day or on the skin track. Love the oversized hood as well. Fits helmets nicely. Would buy again!"
