Lightweight chargers

"I have used these skis while guiding backcountry in Japan, ski mountaineering in Kazakhstan, and touring in New Zealand. That is to say, I have skied them in many different types of snowpacks and mountains. Overall, I love how confident they feel on the downhill while still being light on the uphill. They seem to be sturdy construction, as I have hit a few rocks and come away without major damage. I am very happy with these skis and would consider them strong competitors against more well-known ski brands."

Love the skis, however, they

"Love the skis, however, they were damaged by the freight carrier and due to black diamonds failure to internally pack and protect the tops and bottoms of skis. I bought three pairs of skis from BD and they are packed the same. Not happy! Marc Jones"

A great upgrade for my second season in the backcountry!

"I have been enjoying this ski on powder days in and out of bounds. It's fun to rip on groomers and duck into the woods with. The turning radius is nice, but I don't enjoy riding switch on these skis as much as a true twin tip. Having started with an 89 underfoot for my first season in the backcountry, this has been a major upgrade! This ski has made my backcountry experience and powder days far far more enjoyable."

Excellent Skis

"It took no time at all to receive my new skis! I had them out for their first run over the Christmas break. I am excited to try these out in the Backcountry on my ski trip to BC"

Nice upgrade

"I have been skiing the Helio 104 for a few years. I am enjoying the new 102. It floats in soft snow and has great edge hold on firm snow. It is a nice improvement over the 104."

Great Touring Ski

"I’ve been using the Black Diamond Helio 102s for a mix of Colorado backcountry days and Denali prep, and overall I’m really happy with them. They’re impressively light on the skin track, making long approaches and kick turns much easier, but still feel confident and stable on the descent — even with a heavy pack. The 102 waist hits a nice sweet spot: enough float in soft snow, yet still manageable on firm or variable conditions."
