Not duarable

"Started great but do not stand up to regular use. I've skied for 1. 5 years in mine and they are exploding. Multiple seems failing, thumb patch hole. Just not durable enough for anyone that skis a lot. BD offered me 40% off replacement cost but they ship from the US direct so basically ends up being only about 15$ off. Not satisfied and will not get these again."

Didn’t Last a season

"Very disappointed with the durability of these gloves. I used them for most of a season as a ski guide. I maintained them often with nikwax and never did any work that I would consider tough on gloves. By spring three of the fingers had split seams and the gloves were unusable. When I brought them in for warranty they told me that this must be from excessive use. I expected these gloves to last me years rather than months. I and am very disappointed."

Durability is a major issue

"The gloves are reasonably warm and appear to be well made. The longevity however leaves a lot to be desired. I purchased them 2 years ago and have used them for about 8-10 resort downhill days and 2 touring days on the descents. All but one finger of the gloves appear next to new. The stitching and the leather on the middle finger of the right glove is ripping apart. Very disappointed, considering the very mild and gentle use these have gone through, nothing really "guide" like. I contacted Black Diamond and their agent claimed "excessive" use and won't stay behind their product."

Really Warm

"Great gloves to keep my hands warm in extreme winter mountain conditions."

Ultimate ski patrol equipment

"Been in ski patrol for over 10 years now and went through a whole lot of gloves. These are not only meant to last, but warm, quality built and endured a full season without a scar!! Very happy again with BD gear"

Look, ma - warm hands!

"I have notoriously cold hands, especially when I’m outside in the winter. Coming from Minnesota, I have been rockin’ Toasty gloves for many years. They’ve kept me warm for a long time, but struggle when cold temps meet higher altitude and wind. I bought these expecting to be disappointed, just like every other glove I’ve had - big, clunky, and somehow still not warm enough without an extra liner and warmers. Not these bad boys! Add a pair of BD’s over mitts on the really nasty days and you are still gonna have warm hands no matter what winter has to say about it. I love these things! So glad I took a leap of faith. Thanks, BD!"

Rae (5/5)

Horrible quality. Do not purchase

"Bought these gloves after reading many positive reviews. After my first day of skiing with them I removed the liners to help drying. I noticed both liners on the third finger were torn along the seam and now had reasonably large holes along the finger. I contacted black diamonds warranty department fully expecting once they saw the photos and how it was during the first use that they would assist me in replacing the gloves. Their response? Looks like normal wear and tear and is not a manufacturing issue. These gloves are supposed to be their guide gloves and cost $200 Canadian and didn’t last the first use. To say I am very disappointed in black diamonds response is a huge understatement. Save your money. Buy gloves from a company that backs their products."

Fits as expected

"Haven't used these gloves yet so can't give a proper review, but after finding a local store and trying on a pair they fit as expected (my hand was in the middle of the small measurements). others have mentioned a tight wrist opening and while the small did not feel annoying to put on they would definitely be snug on a larger arm. I sized up to allow my current liner gloves to fit when removing the included liner for warmer days and even wearing just the "shell" felt tight enough that they would not be annoyingly loose. included Nikwax was a nice plus too!"

Best gloves in the biz

"Continue to be the best gloves. Perfect mix of warmth and mobility."

Peter S. (5/5)

Workhorse!

"I think I have had a set of Guide Gloves in my constant rotation for I think 10 years? When new they almost feel constrictive on my hand a bit but I feel like I am just between sizing. They do pack in a little bit and do much better. A great workhorse glove for rope work."
