Great Reliable Screws

"I’ve only climbed on BD Express Screws, always reliable and will last years."

Carson W. (5/5)

Best screws ever

"Love them n"

Cameron S. (5/5)

Heavier than other models, but

"Heavier than other models, but the two clip in points are nice, and the length of the hanger makes torquing the screw through hard ice a bit easier, although it requires more motion to do so."

Aidan S. (4/5)

So impressed!!!

"This ice screw goes in smooth and feels super solid once it’s placed. It’s easy to rack and doesn’t get in the way."

Caitlin H. (5/5)

"Quick ship! Great products."

Joe (5/5)

Best Screw I use

"I will admit to leaving this review because I was so surprised by the one star review another user left. Your results may vary, but I have found the BD screw to be the best most rock solid tool for the job over decades, going back to well before the turbo. My son just asked me to drop others including some very nice DMMs (with super long teeth - a good feature), because he finds the BD's so easy to place and clean. And if you watch tests, the steel is second to none for strength. I think there is still a case for some of the other high-quality screws I've used an like (Petzl, Blue Ice, DMM) where you may want a super-shorty, or a glacier-light aluminum screw, but otherwise I'm sticking to a rack of these, and could use anything I please."

Thomas C. (5/5)

The standard

"Quality screw. Durable and reliable. The only feedback I have in comparison to other brands is that the crank knob lacks texture and size. It is easy to use but its small slim diameter gives less grip through thick gloves. Even still, I will buy again."

Calvin T. (4/5)

Great screws

"I'm a new ice leader, but am already loving my express screws - they're not the lightest, but they drill in well and feel secure when placed. I find the mechanism for turning and clipping the screws to be the best design that I've tried"

Linda W. (5/5)

The standard ice screw for confindence!

"These screws have been my standard for as long as I have been climbing ice and I have been at it now for 39 years. The satisfaction of the teeth biting before I start cranking the knob furiously, is very comforting!"

Mike W. (5/5)

Very slow to get in

"This has got to be the worst screw ever made. It takes me like 4 times longer to get these screws to bite into ice than petzl screws or the BD aluminum ones. The spinner also often freezes so it doesn't free spin."
