"Link broke first use but hasn't had issues since, would recommend keeping a pair of pliers in your pack while using these just in case."
"Garbage. My first mile to Panorama Ridge, BC. Canada; they were falling apart."
"Awesome spikes. Lightweight and easy to take and off (also they aren’t ugly, which does matter). Ran a road of solid ice and had zero issues with traction. Incredible."
"So impressed with these spikes I bought for my partner. Great for a long hike. Easy to run in without feeling unbalanced. If you are walking or running on ice you need these"
"These completely changed the game on my recent trip to Salt Lake City. Hiking in the mountains above the city found us encountering rapidly changing snow and ice conditions. The easy on/off nature of these was great, but the added traction offered great security. Well worth the money!!"
"These micro spikes fit really nice. I like how light they are compared to some others I have used. The problem is first time I wore them I was no more than a few miles into my hike on a snowy/ icy trail and one of the links came unlinked making the spikes all sloppy underfoot. Super bummed because these things are expensive. When I got home my husband helped me put the links back together with some Needed needle nose pliers and strong muscles. We checked all the other links to make sure they were all nice and snug so this wouldn’t happen again. They really are nice spikes but just beware before you wear them out to inspect all the links."
"The week before purchasing the spikes I took a massive spill and broke my finger. The next week I was running along ice and snow on a steep trail and felt like I had more grip than ever. The neoprene cap on the front provides comfort, protection and a bit more warmth. I love the product so much I ended up buying a pair for my son."
"I have tried many traction devices which move around and sometimes fall off. The BD Spikes fit my running and hiking shoes snugly without pinching my toes. The aggressive spikes are great on trails with consolidated snow and ice."
"I enjoy these microspikes immensely as they are easy to put on as opposed to the other model. You’ll know whether or not they fit and are aligned correctly. Great traction on many types of ice and very light with a small carrying bag."
"Broke after a year because the chain came loose. Black diamond does not honour their warranty in Canada without paying a fortune to ship to the US. Weight is fantastic. But can't recommend something of such bad durability that doesn't have warranty"
