"My husband bought this bag in 2023 and used it maybe 20 times on some trail running and day hiking trips, and the strap is already tearing. The bag has not been overweighted or used aggressively—very moderate use. We sent a request for repair to BD and the best they did was offer a small discount. For $220, the bag shouldn’t be ripping after 20 uses. Super disappointed with the gear and the response from BD 👎"
"The large is ridiculously small. I've used the Distance 15 since it debuted and love it. I wanted this for all the new pockets, especially the big one on the back. I measured my chest in the proper place and it's 41". I am 6' 2" and 225lbs. This is just super tight. I can get it on if I loose both straps to the maximum and wear a T shirt. No way will it fit over any more/bigger layers. It feels like I'm trying to fit a medium bag over my chest. There's no way this will fit up to a size 44". Really bummed out, I'm going to have to send this back. The sizing is all wrong"
"I was initially impressed and happy with the bag's performance for both run commuting and general travel. However, on one of my travels, the chest strap got pulled off unbeknownst to me. I was unable to find replacement straps (either provided or to purchase) by contacting customer support or the store in-person. Without these chest straps, the backpack does not stay in place. Disappointing customer experience."
"Durability of shoulder straps could be a concern depending on the application; no good pocket for phone (no reason it couldn't have a bigger zip pocket, see the Solomon vests). Regardless this is a great bag for fastpacking or single day adventures in the mountains. Very light, all the right features and comfy."
