A weekend in the valley
Two BD legends walk into the Valley. What happens next?
The standard when it comes to single-stem cams, the Camalot Z4 is Alex Honnold’s favorite cam, and features our patented game-changing RigidFlex stem design, which as the name implies, stays rigid while placing them, yet flexes when you climb past, ensuring easy handling and less walking for a solid placement you can rely on.
Overall rating: 4.8798957 / 5 from 383 reviews.
The Camalot Z4 is praised for its innovative RigidFlex stem, which provides rigidity in hand and flexibility when placed. Customers appreciate its ease of placement, flexibility in various crack types, and sleek design. The narrow head width and sandblasted lobes enhance its performance, though opinions on size vary.

"Love this cam. It is lightweight, easy to handle, and the narrow head enables solid placements in shallow cracks where other cams don't work."
"When the Z4's first came out I was skeptical about this new design, but it really does work as advertised. Narrow head fit into places the C4's don't work. The stiff stem with the trigger pulled for ease of placement and floppy when in the rock for being less likely to shift is brilliant engineering! I plan to continue to use these cams and replace them with the same thing as I've done a few times now. - Eric Gunks Guides & Climbing School"
"Very Bomber and good size. I trust it"
"The Z4s are the best cams on the market, very versatile, easy to place and compliment the C4s very well."
"This little guy is bomber!"
"Lightweight, easy to place, excellent cam."
"Fabulous cam, allows for confidence in the gear, which is crucial for crushing :)"
". 3 through . 5, easily one of the best cams on the market and even competes with totem cams. The . 75 can be a little floppy but more annoyingly the trigger wires tend to wear out fast. Anything . 2 and below (the single axis cams) work fine but the cam action and floppiness is uninspiring. The . 2 size doesn’t seem to fit in nearly as many spots as a black totem. The . 1 and below seem as good or better than other micro cams to me, although the “sponginess” of the action can be annoying"
"Great especially for vertical crack"
"Lightweight, flexy and a low profile cam lobes. Amazing"
