Camalot™ Repair Service
Camalot™ Repair Service
Why retire your used cams? Give them new life with a new nylon sling or trigger through our Camalot™ Repair Service provided by our ReRoute team. Check the 'How it works' section below to get started.
How it works
- Step 1: Choose the repair service (resling or retrigger wire) you are looking for; Add the desired quantity of cams that need to be repaired to your shopping bag.
- Step 2: Proceed to checkout when you are ready. You will receive an order confirmation once your order is placed.
- Step 3: Please wait for our service team to contact you with further instructions including a Return Authorization (RA). This may take up to 72 hours but can vary depending on the season. This contact will be separate from your order confirmation.
Please Note: Re-trigger and Re-sling services are repairs, and will have aesthetic differences from your original cam, including, but not limited to:
- Updated webbing styles
- Updated trigger wiring style
- Different alignment of the bar tacking
- Different color thread used in bar tacking
Your repaired cam will have matching color webbing, but it may have a slightly different look or texture from the original webbing. This is because webbing has a shelf life. Black Diamond does not stock webbing used on older cams, and as we run out of inventory, we will switch to current webbing styles. Please expect up to 1 week for a response containing your RA, and a 4-5 week turnaround time on your cam repair request. For international orders, please add an additional 2 weeks.
Please Note: We now resling X4 and Z4 cams.
Please Note: Ultralight (UL) Cam Lifespan: Ultralight Camalots utilize a Dyneema core with an approximate service life of 10 years from the date of manufacture. Units that have reached or exceeded this timeframe may be considered unsuitable for repair and could be returned without service.
