"My old #1 Camelot got a new lease on life. New sling and new trigger wires. There’s no more play in the wires; everything is nice and tight so the cam sets perfectly in the crack."
Why retire your used cams? Give them new life with a new nylon sling or trigger through our Camalot™ Repair Service provided by our ReRoute team. Check the 'How it works' section below to get started.
Please Note: Re-trigger and Re-sling services are repairs, and will have aesthetic differences from your original cam, including, but not limited to:
Your repaired cam will have matching color webbing, but it may have a slightly different look or texture from the original webbing. This is because webbing has a shelf life. Black Diamond does not stock webbing used on older cams, and as we run out of inventory, we will switch to current webbing styles. Please expect up to 1 week for a response containing your RA, and a 4-5 week turnaround time on your cam repair request. For international orders, please add an additional 2 weeks.
Please Note: We now resling X4 and Z4 cams.
Please Note: Ultralight (UL) Cam Lifespan: Ultralight Camalots utilize a Dyneema core with an approximate service life of 10 years from the date of manufacture. Units that have reached or exceeded this timeframe may be considered unsuitable for repair and could be returned without service.

"I sent in a Camalot to get a new sling. Service was prompt and the new sling looks great. Looking forward to trying it out as I get back into leading trad routes."
"Sent in around 15 BD cams of various sizes for re-slings. Work was done faster than expected, shipping was expedient, and I appreciate the fact that the new slings have a date on them. Will really help for when it’s time to do it again. Access Fund discount was accepted for this order, and that made me happy!"
"Reslinged 4 cams - slings came back exactly like the original with same color coding and dated resling tag. I bought these cams second hand barely used for half the price and reslinged them to ensure they are like new. I love that BD helps you extend the life span of your gear to save on cost and commit to sustainability. The process was straightforward and totally worth it!"
"Super fast turnaround times in time for my Yosemite trip! Quality work as always"
"BD did a great job repairing my cams and turned them around quickly, so I didn't have to go without them for long. Thanks, BD!"
"Sent in multiple Black Diamond Camalots to be re-slung and honestly couldn’t be happier with the experience. The turnaround was smooth, communication was solid, and the cams came back looking great with really clean workmanship. It’s awesome being able to extend the life of trusted gear instead of replacing it outright. Huge appreciation to the Black Diamond repair team for supporting climbers this way and standing behind their equipment."
"Easy process, great communication, service was complete well ahead of the estimated timeline. Great job! Thanks!"
"A trigger wire on one of my cams was broken. The repair service completed a high quality repair in only a few weeks."
"The process was very smooth. The instructions were clear and I was informed by email as the progress progressed. It also took much less time than what I was quoted which was a nice surprise. I'll be sending in the rest of my gear in a few years once they are ready"
