The Ascension Splitboard Nylon Skins are highly recommended for their great quality and ease of use, providing excellent grip and traction for deep backcountry excursions. Factory Seconds are available with minor manufacturing defects but are still covered by warranty.

"These worked flawlessly. They were easy to deploy and I had zero issues on the hike up. Setup was a breeze with the help of a 5 minute YouTube video. The supplied cutter made trimming effortless. It was far better than some other popular brand’s cutters. Would recommend and purchase again."
"The skin quality is great, but the tail clips are difficult and dont attach well. Ended up having to buy new tail clips after having to strap down skins on long tour because tail clips wouldn’t stay attached"

"I haven’t gotten to use them yet because not much snow here. The instruction video is for the ski version and wasn’t the most helpful. Needed more clarification on which side is for which half of the board as the tail clips have specific sides. The tip clips were a bit challenging to place. Almost really messed up and would’ve had to rebuy. The cutting tool works really well."
"The videos by Black Diamond only show ski skin set up. You have to trim the skins which is super easy with the provided tool. You also have to attach the nose clips clips which, without good instruction makes you feel dyslexic. Took me 1. 33 hours to complete but would probably be 30 minutes with good instructions. Haven’t gotten to use them yet as I’m waiting for snow."
"Bought these after experiencing some catastrophic skin failure from a competing brand's product. Went for the full nylons rather than glidelites for that extra security on colder/steeper days. Wife has the glidelites and she loves em. These were easy to cut, install and use. Great product!"

"I'd love to see BD make an instructional video on fitting/cutting these. The package came with 2 different instructions, one was just for the ski skins, not the splitboard skins, and the other was even more generic but still not for the splitboard. And they had some notable differences, like the gap size recommended. I knew what to do already, but it was fun to compare them. Either way, the product works perfectly and it is my 3rd set of skins from BD. I did a 10 mile tour in them last weekend and they performed well. Would totally recommend to anyone. But yeah some clearer instructionals would maybe help newer folks."

To be fair, after fiddling with it for a minute I figured it out, and it works great, but it took a long time to figure it all out. (This was my first time cutting skins for what it's worth)"
