"Had some old carabiners figured I'd add dogbones and make some draws. Unfortunately broke the rubber on a few of them trying to get them on, be careful on install. Will have to buy new and try again. Overall feel great, light, sturdy - user error on my part trying to install"
"Great if you have extra biners hangin around that are in good shape…. . The rubber rings are overly tight getting on the rope end carabiner, but I found soapy water aided in working then on."

"I bought these to replace the dogbones on some quickdraws that are at their retirement age. These are light and I'm sure they will work well. But I ran into trouble trying to put them on the carabiners. The rubber inserts that are supposed to keep the bottom carabiner from spinning were so tight that several of them broke while I was assembling them. I guess it's not really a safety issue, just a convenience issue."
"This is the second time I have re-equipped my selection of draws with these Dynex Dogbones. They are super light and great for those long routes where every ounce counts. I bought a bunch of these 12cm draws as well as the 16cm draws. They are the best I've ever used. I like them a lot better than the stiffer draws I have used in the past."
"These are a great way to lessen the environmental impact of replacing dogbones that have become frayed or aged out of service. Kudos to BD for selling spare parts rather than sending good carabiners to a landfill. p. s. The date tags are now sewn on the inside of the dogbone which greatly improves handling."
"The "straitjacket" rubber gasket is too small and tight to use with BD carabiners. It's weak and cheap. Mine broke in my hands while trying to insert a carabiner. The dog one itself will still work fine, but now it'll have two floppy ends. Not ideal. I expected better from BD."
