"I am a beginner climber with no prior experience. I needed a shoe I could use inside or outside that was comfortable enough to wear for long periods of time without me learning to hate rock climbing. I also knew I was going to be climbing outside during PNW spring weather, so I wanted to be able to wear a sock with them. I tried on every climbing shoe with a neutral sole I could find. BD was the only one that fit, was comfortable, affordable, and had laces. I've worn it with and without socks comfortably for several hours. I've had people compliment them and ask where I got them. "Loved these! As someone who has been climbing in rentals for a year and someone who wants to start climbing more seriously, these are great “starter” shoes. I wear a street shoe size of 9. 5 and my rentals shoe size is an 8 (our rentals are the blue evolves). These were a size 8 and they fit great. They aren’t exactly for comfort but my precision is noticeably better. The laces are a bit short but not a major issue. Overall, a solid 10/10 from me!"
