"Getting back into ice climbing. These tools were great, easy to grip and swing. I don't mind the weight, and would have bought something less expensive, but I absolutely love having the hooks at the bottom of the grips to let it hang on my hand."
"I purchased these tools for some alpine objectives and have been really pleased with their performance. They are terrific for climbing both ice and snow and are a very capable tool for alpine routes that have a bit of everything. I was very pleased with how well spike can be plunged into snow when approaching an objective on a steep snow field. Once your objective is reached you can be confident in these tools to get you up ice and mixed terrain. Great do-it-all option."
"I like this axe a lot. I wanted a tool that was aggressive enough to do some light ice climbing, but not so aggressive that I can’t do a more casual peak with it without feeling like overkill. It is a bit more aggressive than I anticipated, probably should have gone with the Venom. But it’s still an amazing tool. It’s top heavy, which is what you want so it’ll chip into ice really nicely. I like that BD sells a hammer attachment that you can swap out with the Adze this axe comes with, if you needed it. The adjustable finger stop along the grip is also a nice feature, makes this a very versatile and user customizable tool. Overall a super solid not too technical but not too basic axe for the more intermediate alpine sends out there."
