The Mountain Guides is a mountain guiding consortium specializing in technical rock climbing and backcountry skiing with locations across the western US, the largest and most historic of which is Jackson Hole Mountain Guides. Started in 1968, JHMG is the second oldest guide service in the country, and the only AMGA-accredited guide service operating in the Tetons.
The Mountain Guides operates branches across the West and in some of the country’s most iconic climbing and skiing destinations, including The Teton and Wind River ranges of Wyoming, the Utah desert around Moab, Red Rock National Conservation Area outside Las Vegas, the Northern Rockies around Whitefish and Glacier National Park in Montana; and the historic crags and peaks of the Colorado Front Range.
