SHAWN RABOUTOU
Hello! I’m Shawn Raboutou, a climber through and through. While I’m best known for my bouldering, I love all forms of climbing. Growing up in a climbing family, it was inevitable that I’d end up on the rock—both of my parents were legends in their own right. My mom, Robyn Erbesfield-Raboutou, won the overall World Cup title four times, and my dad, Didier Raboutou, was the first climber to onsight 5.14a.
From an early age, I tagged along on outdoor climbing days, but it wasn’t until I was about 10 that I really caught the bug. I started climbing outside more and competing in youth comps. By 15, I shifted my focus away from competitions and dove headfirst into bouldering trips, learning from an incredible group of mentors.
Now, my motivation is stronger than ever. My main pursuit is pushing the boundaries of hard bouldering and sport climbing—developing new lines and progressing the sport in every way I can.
