the Recon Stretch Shell is built with durable BD.dry™ 3L stretch nylon fabric with a DWR finish without intentionally added PFAS. With one chest pocket for essentials and two mesh internal drop pockets for skins or extra layers, the Recon features ample storage, while the jacket’s removable powder skirt adds versatility for variable conditions. The Recon also has pit zip vents for easy temperature regulation on the skin track, a waterproof front zipper, and a ski-helmet-compatible hood for added protection on storm days. Updated patterning allows for freedom of movement and all-day comfort. Internal RECCO® technology makes you searchable.
Our Durable Water Repellent (DWR) treatment is made without intentionally added PFAS chemistry, enabling you to stay dry without relying on these 'forever chemicals'.

BD.dry™ 3L face fabrics are treated with a DWR and these fabrics have a hydrophilic membrane that allows water vapor to transfer through, making them waterproof, yet breathable. Applied to the backside of this fabric is a third layer, jersey backer, that feels comfortable next to the skin and allows moisture to turn to vapor before passing through the hydrophilic membrane.
