"Very light, but sturdy enough for snow. Perfect size to carry with my 55L pack. It’s obviously not for working through dirt and rocks or thick hardened ice, but handles various snow conditions very well. I like that the collapsible handle completely detaches from the scoop for packing. I also like that the top of the T handle is NOT offset, so it’s comfortably ambidextrous. (Why do they do that!? Just to earn the ire of us lefties everywhere, I suppose. )"

"This is a great Shovel for the average backcountry skier. great at keeping the weight down and packs well. If you are more advanced or building snow shelters for multi day trips its not the choice. But that isn't its designed roll."
