Black Diamond electronics, headlamps and lanterns operate with different types of batteries
Batteries contain various chemical elements that are harmful for the environment and can be reused. To preserve these materials for other uses, every effort should be made to recycle batteries of all types, sizes, and chemistries.
Lithium-ion (Li-ion) Batteries
These batteries are hardy and can be recharged hundreds of times. Once the battery is unable to recharge it can be recycled at a collection facility.
Button Batteries
Two-cell Lithium batteries (such as CR2032 style) cannot be recharged and should be recycled once they lose their charge. Warning: Button cell batteries pose a chocking hazard, and contain silver and mercury which can be harmeful if ingested. Store these batteries out of reach of young children.
Dry Cell Batteries
Alkaline batteries (such as AAA or AA syle) cannot be recharged and should be recycled once they lose their charge. These batteries contain valuable materials and are harmful to the environment when thrown away.
