Our Z-Pole Technology was born from our expertise in avalanche probes—by using a three-section shaft, a concealed inner Kevlar cord and innovative speed cones, our collapsible Z-Poles snap into place and lock with a single pull.

When not in use, a single push button releases the pole for compact storage.

FlickLock Pro is the evolution of our trusted FlickLock design. The benefits that made FlickLock the best pole-locking mechanism on the market remain: it's secure, fast and easy to use. The FlickLock Pro's low-profile, stainless steel design, however, provides a dramatic improvement in quality, feel and clamping force.

Compactor Ski Poles is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from compactor failure again! Once again let down in a serious location by a compactor pole failure in the same spot. The glue on the silver fixing of the top joint seems to come loose and the pole just flops. A pole repair kit saved the day again could be pretty serious without . I can't understand why the fixing is only glued in. I've repaired a set of poles before with a rivet through the pole. Last time i'm using these , Another brand for me from now on, just lost faith in these . Skinning at 4000m on an icy slope is not good with one pole.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Broke 3 in 2 years Very light and compact, fast transition from storage/backpack to pole mode. But too fragile. You cannot rely on this item far out in the backcountry. I broke 3 of them skinning up normally.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Truly compactability Having used every generation of the compactor as a split boarder these continue to be my pole of choice. It is crucial to have a pole that can be contained inside your avalanche safety pack as so they do not get lost if you take a tumble or catch a tree branch on the way down. With a strong design these poles are made to last and are super fast to extend and collapse.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My go to poles I used these poles all last season skiing in and out of bounds including multi day tours. They are solid and reliable, but their big advantage is how compact they become! They dont stick up in the air above your pack to tangle on every tree branch or rope strand. They also travel great because they are easy to protect. Another reviewer mentioned the attachment piece coming loose and being catastrophic. I too had this piece come loose on a few occasions. It's slightly confusing, but all you have to do is re-insert it and extend the pole. It will work least that's been my experience. I did recently bend one of these, but I weigh 200 and was carrying a 60 lb pack when I slipped and the pole pushed through the soil 1/2 way before it caught my weight. The fall would have destroyed any pole. I was able to bend it back well enough to continue hiking the rest of the day. I filled out the BD warranty form and told them I needed the poles for a trip the next week and they sent me a new pair overnight! Customer service is amazing! I highly recommend these poles.
