Trail Sport 3 Trekking Poles is rated out of 5 by 1.
Rated 3 out of 5 by Eric from Solid trekking poles that get the job done These are solid entry-level poles with very secure/reliable FlickLock system. It's very easy to adjust pole length, and the rubber hand grips and wrist straps are comfortable. Given that these are three-section poles, they collapse to just over two feet, making them easy to stow. The one quirk to these is that the lower-most section does not collapse all the way down. The pole tapers in such a way that the final three-to-four inches of that section slide in and out of the middle pole even when the FlickLock is closed. I tried tightening the FlickLock screw; this solved the immediate problem but then made the shaft too tight to extend the pole and/or close the FlickLock. This quirk is more nuisance than anything, but I've never seen anything like this on any other poles I've owned or used. The options are to deal with the in/out sliding, or to lock the pole with four inches of the lower pole exposed. This makes the collapsed pole much longer than the advertised collapsed length of 25 inches. Finally, not sure why the usable length quoted in the product description is 40-55 inches. The poles definitely work at a much shorter length than that (usable at about 29 inches).
