How To Use The Black Diamond Storm Headlamp

Reviews

Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 33 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by This product is the best headlamp i've ever had. The Storm is by far the best headlamp I've ever had. It's durable and bright. My favorite features are the lock, and the red light. Ive had it for about a month and so far I have dropped it from a height of ten feet onto solid ice. I've dropped it into a bucket of tree sap. and I have hit it against a tree (none of these were on purpose). I have had absolutely no problems, glitches, or doubts with this headlamp. April 10, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by High Performance From working late nights on film crews to early morning ascents in the alpine, this light performs. Clips into helmets well and the dimming function is a huge plus. After two years I did start to notice condensation form, which I think is because the battery compartment seal becomes less waterproof over time. Black Diamond sent me a brand new one, no questions asked. I think with more careful storage in a wet pack this will last me well until I feel the need for a more serious upgrade. March 25, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by A solid headlamp Bought 15 of them for my first responder group. The waterproof aspect, high lumens and price sealed the deal for us. I'm happy with it so far. Could be easier to open up and change batteries, but no biggie. I'd buy another, yes. March 18, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Mr We purchased two of the Storm Headlamps on the advise of our son who regularly backpacks in the Rocky Mountains. He gave us good advice. We use them often and they do the job much, much better than our others (from a different company). We highly recommend this headlamp. February 9, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by ...excellent for night fishing and ice fishing. Best of all its saved my life at work when the flashing portion of my headgear was on. Fork driver had ...excellent for night hiking, both fishing and ice fishing, and a life saver at work. In a highly trafficked aisle at work with fork trucks, I happened to be in an individuals blind spot, if it was not for the flashing feature of my head gear, I was informed, bouncing off the steel I-beams I would have not been seeing my family for the rest of my life. I own four of these headlamps January 28, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good headlamp I have only had my light for a few weeks, and haven't run through a set of batteries or been in heavy rain yet. As far as I can tell it's a great light. The body is durable and the functions are straight forward. It's my hope that because it holds four batteries, that they will last longer. I have a friend who's had the same headlamp for years and is very pleased with it. January 28, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by won't charge bought this to use on Mt Olympus climb. Although it appeared to charge properly the first time, the light only lasted 40 min. After the trip I have tried to recharge it on a number of occasions, but it will not hold any charge. Subsequent to my trip I have read similar reviews of this product not charging. It does work w/ disposable batteries. January 27, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by very durable Great headlamp, so much so I just bought a second one. It's the first headlamp I've had that has survived my spontaneous hikes in downpours and yet shines far enough to be useful. My only suggestion is to keep the instructions. Somehow I turned on the strobe and could not get it back to normal. Made for a somewhat treacherous midnight ski down the mountain through the trees. January 26, 2014
