Rated 5 out of 5 by Erik Finally great light output w/o the big battery pack. This lamp rocks!
A lightweight powerful weapon against the dark, worked flawlessly on an all night rescue this fall and wasn't a strain wearing all night while remaining bright from start to finish thanks to the Storms great battery life. I normally carry 3 headlamps because darkness is not an option and I might have to rethink that now. Very happy with this purchase! Thanks BD for my Storm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dennis Great headlamp -- much better than anything I've used before.
Very bright with long battery life and lots of lighting options. Very easy to use. Nice, comfortable headband. Tilt feature is nice. Way better than anything I've used before

The Storm is a well thought out light. It's super bright at 100 lumens, but on the flip side the battery saving LEDs are bright enough to do close up work. If you hold down the button you can lock it from turning on unexpectedly and draining your battery (great feature). I have used it to return from ice climbs at dusk and found the button to be fairly glove friendly. I rarely use any of my other lamps for outdoor adventures now.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Greg Great lightweight and super bright
I really like this headlamp. It is SUPER bright (100 lumens) so I can see much better and further than my last headlamp, but at the same time it's LED mode is bright enough to do anything in the tent and comfortable to read with as it doesn't have anything on the back. It opens with a little thumb screw which is easier than my last one that has a tab that you have to push while opening which is hard especially with cold fingers...

Rated 4 out of 5 by Marcus Very bright, good functions
First of all, this is a VERY bright lamp. I was lighting up the whole camp and beyond when it's on full beam.
The different modes are very handy too. I turn it down to read in the tent, I've used the 'red light' and stuck on the back of my child's ski helmet to keep track of him during a very foggy day on the hill. Then switch it to safe mode when it's in your pack to ensure the batteries last.
It has developed a few small cracks in the plastic of the housing but hasn't affected the operation or water proof feature.
One handy tip: use lithium batteries in cold weather and they'll last a LOT longer. Alkaline batteries burn out quickly in freezing temperatures but lithium lasts much longer (although they usually cost a lot more too).

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jody Great light for all situations
I bought this product after seeing how it made my previous headlamp dim by direct comparison. While on a wildland fire assignment, a buddy behind me was lighting my way with his Storm beyond what my light could shine. I immediately went back and ordered several for work and personal use. I've used for work, hunting, fishing, and camping. I love product and have yet had to change any batteries. Far outshines comparable products of same size and weight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kerry Not advertised as fire proof but...
But it is! I'm a firefighter and I wear this light on my wildland helmet. It's seen a lot of fire, including the Rim Fire when Yosemite was burning. It's a great light - usually gets stored in my bag or thrown around the back of the engine and always stays reliable. Works lots of all night shifts and takes lots of heat and water without problem!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Jessica Not waterproof and turns on in pack
Purchased 2. The button design allows the headlamp to turn on in pack, so always remove the battery until needed. Hard to open battery cover. 1 failed due to wearing in rainstorm and now no longer works.
