The revolutionary and versatile 110-lumen ReVolt uses rechargeable (via USB) Black Diamond or standard AAA batteries. Learn More

The Black Diamond ReVolt marks a paradigm shift for versatility in a rechargeable headlamp, capable of being powered by rechargeable batteries, as well as standard alkaline batteries. The 110-lumen ReVolt runs off three Black Diamond NiMH AAA rechargeable batteries and recharges via a USB cable that can be plugged into anything from a computer to a solar charger. When recharging is not an option, the ReVolt accepts standard alkaline AAA batteries. Distance mode is powered by one TriplePower LED, two SinglePower LEDs power proximity mode and two SinglePower red LEDs power night vision mode. With a full feature set, including dimming, and a weather-resistant housing, the ReVolt is ready for nearly any mission.

  • 1 TriplePower LED, 2 SinglePower white LEDs and 2 SinglePower red LEDs emit up to 110 lumens (max setting using alkaline batteries)
  • Settings include full strength in proximity and distance modes, dimming, strobe, red night vision and lockout
  • Sleek, low profile design uses 3 Black Diamond NiMH AAA Rechargeable Batteries or standard alkaline or lithium batteries (rechargeable and alkaline included as well as USB charging cable)
  • Red night vision mode has proximity and strobe settings, and activates without cycling through the white mode
  • Three-level power meter shows remaining battery life for 3 seconds after switching on headlamp
  • Protected against splashing or sprayed water from any angle (IPX 4)

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 31 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love to recharge! Plugging in rather than replacing batteries is a luxury. It is really nice to be able to replace batteries when recharging is not possible as well. I do wish it had a strap over the top of the head but otherwise exceptionally well made and designed. January 25, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Stylish and Functional! I really like the look of this headlamp. It looks cool and is easy to handle and pack. The different types of lighting and intensities are great in camp, on the trail, or in the back yard looking for our cat. The casing is sturdy and the buttons are tough. This lamp should be the last one I ever have to buy. Black Diamond is my favorite outdoor equipment supplier for climbing and hiking. December 20, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent headlamp I use this headlamp for touring and skiing. It is very bright. I like the two light modes so I can talk to my friends without blinding them. I have used it numerous times in temps in the low 20's and have had no problems. Excellent range. I used regular batteries and have not used rechargeables yet. Overall an excellent headlamp. Rated 5 out of 5 by Bright and long lasting This is admittedly a first impression review. But so far I'm impressed. Having fully charged the batteries, I'm now in the process of discharging them, as per the instructions for first time use. 28+ hours later the light is noticeably dimmer, but I feel confident that it would be more than bright enough to get me out of the woods if need be. The battery life indicator shows orange, 25%-50% battery life left after all that time. Considering I carry a portable battery in my pack I doubt my backup AAA's will ever need to be used. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great light for working outdoors Used this light extensively for night shift, doing infrared camera on wildfires here in Oregon. Good light for all types of terrain is important and the Revolt was great! September 20, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very Satisfied I ordered two more because I had an opportunity to give my first Black Diamond headlamp away. They are a better product than other headlights that I've tried. September 5, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Could be improved Needs recall/memory for white LEDs, doesnt seem to remember the setting it had when last turned off. Have been blinded before and have to wait for eyes to readjust. NiMH batteries aren't very good for this device. The power of the light diminishes quickly when powered by NiMH batteries. Lithium batteries would work much better, last far longer and don't have as much capacity degradation during storage periods. July 16, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect Settings, Easy Charging The settings on the ReVolt define function, first the locked mode makes it reassuring to store in your pack or wherever and never waste power, second flood and spot with full brightness adjustments are simple and intuitive, and the red light access is easy to save night vision with. The charging port on the outside is a nicer feature than the petzl model. I've charged mine off of a GOAL 0 Guide 10+ and a BioLite CampStove in addition to conventional sources. Only minor critcal point is the three rechargeables being loose batteries, they can get hard to wrangle in a backpack so just plan ahead with a ziploc or pouch if you're bringing backups.
